The Best Way to See and Enjoy Eureka Springs!
               PARKING IN EUREKA SPRINGS

Because of our hilly terrain, parking is limited – and the part that is "free" is in even shorter supply. There
are some things you can do, however, to maximize the pleasure of your visit and to minimize the amount
of time spent driving around (and around and around) looking for the best place to park:

If you are staying in town, just park your vehicle and hop a trolley.  Virtually every lodging facility has a
trolley stop within walking distance;

If you are in for the day or just want to have your vehicle with you, there are several areas in town where
parking is available -
a. Visitor Welcome Center, all trolleys stop here, $1.00/hour or $5.00 for all-day;
b. Planer Hill Park & Ride Facility, see below;
c. Along Main Street, both City and private lots;
d. Along Spring Street, City-operated parking meters;
e. Near the Post Office, private lots;
f.  North Main, free City lot, on the Purple Route at Stop #73;
g. Pine Mountain Village, Hwy. 62E, limited free parking, on the Blue Route, Stop #53; and
h. Great Passion Play, limited free parking, on the Blue Route, Stop #38.

Keep in mind that on busy days, the downtown “metered” spaces tend to fill up first.

UNLESS YOU ARE STAYING AT ONE OF OUR MANY LODGING FACILITIES, FREE PARKING
IN TOWN IS VERY LIMITED.

If you park in one of the City lots (with pay stations) or at  an on-street parking meter, please deposit the
appropriate amount for the length of time you will be parking.  You are subject to be ticketed for
nonpayment of the parking fee.

At the privately-owned lots, the owners monitor the "honor boxes" to make sure that for each space in
which a vehicle is located a payment has been made. Nonpayment at one of the private lots may result in
your vehicle being towed.

                    Planer Hill Park & Ride Lot

At the intersection of Hwys. 62W and 23N we are constructing the latest addition to Eureka Springs'
Transit System:
 the Planer Hill Park and Ride Lot. Scheduled for completion in early 2008, this lot will
feature parking for 75 vehicles and 2 tour buses. From this facility, the Purple Route can take you to the
Visitor Welcome Center and the Blue Route can carry you downtown.  Parking is available for $1/hour or
$5.00 for all-day.

This parking lot is the Gateway to Downtown. And though it will be a parking lot, it will be a
parking lot in a park-like setting.
